HISTORICALLY UNDERUTILIZED BUSINESSES (HUB) CERTIFICATION DAY

If you are a woman, minority, or disabled business owner and the State government is a potential customer for your goods or services, this half- day session can position your company to do business the State of North Carolina.

State government is the largest purchaser of goods and services in the state.

Many state contract opportunities contain participation goals for Historically Underutilized Businesses (minority, veteran, and women-owned businesses).

Access to online resources and databases are critical to finding state government contract opportunities.

In the morning,you will:

  • Be guided with hands-on assistance through the process of registering on the electronic Vendor Portal (e-VP) so you can participate in the NC e-Procurement system, NC Interactive Purchasing System (IPS) and HUB certification.
  • Practice accessing bids through the Interactive Purchasing System (IPS).
  • Learn how to complete HUB Vendor Certification Application (Statewide Uniform Certification Application)– and complete a daft application.
  • Learn what documents are required to determine if your company qualifies to be certified as a HUB.
  • Receive guidance on how to use these resources as business development tools to grow your company.
After the lunch break, come back to learn specifically how to do business with Wake Tech.
